ELIGIBILITY

A) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR DEGREE COURSE IN PHARMACY:

For: Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates.

  1. The candidate should be an Indian National.
  2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.
For: NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in gulf countries, Foreign Nationals.
  1. The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least 50 % of marks in the above subjects taken together.
  2. Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time.

Programme Educational Objectives(PEO) for D.Pharmacy

PEO 1: Core Competency
To provide students with sound foundational knowledge and practical skills in pharmaceutical sciences, including Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmacy Practice, enabling them to perform essential roles in hospital, community, and industrial pharmacy settings.

PEO 2: Professional and Ethical Practice
To inculcate a sense of professional responsibility and ethical values, ensuring students adhere to legal, ethical, and safety standards in pharmaceutical care and health service delivery.

PEO 3: Communication and Teamwork
To develop effective communication and interpersonal skills to enable students to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and industry personnel, and work effectively as a member of multidisciplinary teams.

PEO 4: Lifelong Learning and Career Advancement

Programme Specific Outcomes(PSO) for D.Pharmacy

After completion of the D.Pharmacy program, students will be able to:

PSO 1: Apply Fundamental Pharmaceutical Knowledge
Apply the basic concepts of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and Health Education in preparing, dispensing, and managing medications effectively and safely.

PSO 2: Deliver Patient-Centered Care
Support and assist in patient counseling, drug information services, and rational drug use in hospital and community pharmacy settings, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.

PSO 3: Perform Technical Procedures in Pharmacy
Demonstrate competency in basic pharmaceutical calculations, compounding, labeling, dispensing, inventory control, and record-keeping following standard protocols and ethical guidelines.

PSO 4: Ensure Quality and Compliance
Understand and follow basic principles of quality control, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and regulatory compliance in the preparation and storage of pharmaceutical products.

PSO 5: Exhibit Professional Behavior and Communication
Display effective communication skills, professionalism, and ethical responsibility while working collaboratively in multidisciplinary healthcare or pharmaceutical environments.

PSO 6: Promote Lifelong Learning and Career Progression

PO1: Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy.
