INTRODUCTION

About Department:

Greetings from the department of Civil Engineering at samarth polytechnic belhe tal.-junnar It gives me immense pleasure to lead the department of Civil Engineering. samarth polytechnic belhe tal.-junnar , dist. Pune is striving with full force towards its goal of providing innovative & quality education to the students to achieve academic excellence.

The department of Civil Engineering started in the year 2011-2012 and has maintained an exemplary academic record.

About

The department is gearing up for the accreditation by National Board of Technical Education (NBA), MOUs with leading industries and associated with professional bodies . We have strength of students for first year admission 30 and for second year 33 .The motto of the department is to provide quality technical education to prepare industry ready students and Research & Development services to meet the field requirements.

The department is constantly striving with the available potential to produce illustrious engineers of caliber who would occupy prestigious position in the academic & industrial field. Students still in their third year have received the encouragement, adopted the suggestions and support by the teachers and shown their talent by winning fifteen prizes in conferences that they have attended. They are eager to learn the latest technology being adopted in field.

Our Civil Engineering department is vibrant, due to our dynamic academic and technical staff members, as well as our bright students. Our staff members come from highly-reputable universities all over the world, with specialized knowledge that runs the gamut of Civil and Construction Engineering, ranging from geotechnical engineering, to structures and construction management, to water and environmental engineering.

Curtin’s Civil and Construction Engineering students are a lively bunch, bolstered by Civil engineering students which plays a major role in our department, supporting us in our annual activities such as Civil Camp and Civil Week. The atmosphere created by Civil engineering students and our department has fostered close ties among students, and our students’ participation in our activities, as well as student – staff contact, are exceptional.

Curtin’s diploma of Civil Engineering course is a good balance of theoretical background and practical experience throughout the three years of study. Students are equipped with the practical skills necessary to begin working effectively as a diploma engineer immediately after completion. Our Civil Engineering students have found work all over the world, and are dealing with mega projects, bettering people’s lives. Others have found their passion in smaller, more specialized work. We ensure that our students have the understanding necessary to maintain their skills and competencies throughout their professional career.
