Agdtantra deals with the study of basic knowledge of toxins, their hazards and treatment. Vyavhar Ayurved and Vidhi Vaidyaka is an important one in medical practice, pertticularly in accidental, poisonous and medicolegal cases. Pesticidal, Insecticidal preparations are highly poisonous and consumption of such preparations are fatal, to know the basic management of such cases is necessary for medical students.

Dept. of Dravyaguna Vidnyan

The subject Dravyaguna Vidnyan deals with basic principles of Ayurvedic & Modern Pharmacology and detailed study of herbal drugs from identification & cultivation to utilize for treatment thus creating platform for therapeutic application of herbs. This subject is backbone of clinical practice. The subject also includes standardization of Medicinal plants. Amongst all the available sources of drugs in various therapies herbal drugs are proved to be safest; so more and more people are attracted and wish to undergo only herbal therapy.

Dept. of Kaumarbhritya

Balaroga is the most important branch of Ashtang Ayurveda that deals with child health care throughout Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, Kaumar means child of age 0 to 16 and Bhritya refers to care and hygiene. Kaumarbhritya is the science that provides preventive and curative measures from the fertilization of eggs to the development and growth of children up to the age of 16. It is the backbone of Ayurveda and human sciences. Ayurvedic scholars believe that care during this period is the backbone of the whole life of an individual. The physiological participation of Dosh, mala and Dushysa are different in children as compared to adult therefore the type and prevalence of diseases are also different in children and thus pediatric care needed utilization of various approaches for the management of children diseases.

The Sharir Kriya is the basic subject of Ayurveda for 1st B.A.M.S. students mainly deals with these 3 pillars. Dept. of Panchakarma

Ayurveda mainly treat the patient by either Samshodhana (Purification / Bio-cleansing ) or Samshamana (Palliative) Treatment. Panchakarma is a five-fold therapy; it is highly individualized based on the needs of the individual depending on the Ayurvedic constitutional type, doshic imbalances, age, digestive strength, immune status, and many other factors. Depending on each individual’s needs, all or only parts of the five therapies are utilized. Specially trained therapists must administer these procedures in an exact sequence for a specified period of time. In addition, although Panchakarma is for the most part a delightful and comfortable therapy, there can be periods of discomfort associated with the profound release of toxins, which does occur.

It is therefore essential that a knowledgeable expert who can recognize the signs of properly and improperly administered Panchakarma supervise the therapy. Fortunately these signs were meticulously recorded by the ancient Vaidya’s. The Department is engaged in the training of students and scholars at the level of UG and PG.

Dept. of Prasutitantra Avum Striroga

Prasutitantra Avum Striroga is an important clinical department in ayurved hospital. It involves ayurvedic concepts of Prasutitantra and Striroga as well as modern concepts of obstetrics and gynaecology. Here we deal with diseases and treatment of female reproductive system and also the management of pregnancy, labour and puerperium (after delivery management). The complete care of woman health with an integrative approach is taken. Gyneacological health, sound maternity and care of puerperal are the keysfor women’s healthy life in present working era.

Museum showcases models depicting ayurvedic anatomy, physiology & embryology relevant to Prasuti-Strirog subject. There are real bone models of female pelvis, foetal skull, plaster of paris models of foetal growth during pregnancy, female pelvis with abdomen.

Rasashastra & B.K. which is iatrochemistry and Ayurvedic pharmaceutics deals with selection of Quality Raw drugs, their collection, processing of poisonous herbs, manufacture of herbal, herbo -mineral, herbo metallic formulations and their therapeutic indications, dose, vehicle and diet. The department is fully equipped with various instruments, specimens, molecule, charts etc. Practical lab is well equipped for carried out all essential practical’s as per syllabus.

Which are written in Sanskrit language which is divine language.so to understand Samhitas with their true meanings Sanskrit is thought by this department.

Dept. of Shalakya Tantra

Shalakyatantra is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda that includes the diseases of Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat and Orodental (urdhva jatrugata vikaaras).This department offers teaching and training modules in Ophthalmology, Oto-rhino laryngology and dentistry as well. Moreover it deals with the treatment of Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat and Orodental by traditional systems like Kriyakalpas and different surgical methods. Knowledge of Shalakya enables the students to be an expert in Shalakyatantra. It helps them to become excellent clinician, knowledgeable surgeons, good teachers & scientists with an investigative mind.

Our qualified teachers train the students to gain best judgment & clinical insight and skilled hands to perform good surgeries. To achieve this, we equip our students with sound knowledge of various aspects of Shalakyatantra. Our department performs minor surgeries and para-surgical procedures in mini operation theatre. Minor surgeries include chedana karma, lekhana karma, bhedana, jalookavacharanam, siravedhan, kuttanam, prachanam. In the OPD section other procedures like anjanam, aschotanam, pari-shekam (Netra Dhavanum), karnapooranam, epilation, bidalak, etc. are performed. In ENT section tuning fork test, wax removing, aural syringing, foreign body removation, etc. are carried out.

Dept. of Shalya Tantra

The Surgical practices were at their Steepest advances during Gupt Period i:e around 600 BC Where the first Surgeon OF the World, Pioneered the field Of Surgery. Sushrutha honorably known as Sushrut Acharya The Surgeon Of then Modern India Practiced surgery and laid down the basic principles/fundamentals of Surgery.

This department is managed by a group of dynamic surgeons,”Shalyatantra” is the department of surgery as the word simply puts it. The department boasts of two fully equipped operation theatres along with an adequate bed capacity backed up with an efficient staff. The Ayurvedic procedures performed here include unique techniques like Ksharasutra, Rakta-mokshana and Agnikarma.

Ayurveda is the science of life. “Swasthasya swasthyarakshanam, Aturasya vikarprashanam”. is the main aim of Ayurveda. The department of ‘Swasthvritta’ deals with prevention of disease and promotion of health at personal and community level. It achieves its goal of complete health at physical, mental, spiritual level through daily regimen, seasonal regimen, diet regimen, social ethical conducts, life style management, yoga and naturopathy. Yoga is basic concept of health mainly aims at having balance between body and mind.
