The Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the pioneer departments of the institute, established in 2008 along with the foundation of the institute. It has a very good academic history and an excellent track record. The department has very good infrastructure in the form of well-established laboratories such as Theory of Machines & Automobile Engineering Lab., CAD Lab., Thermal Engineering. Lab., Fluid Power Lab. and other laboratories related to various subjects of Mechanical Engineering.The 

Mechanical Engineering department also has a Workshop section. The laboratories are continuously upgraded with the addition of the latest equipment and machinery. Likewise, the department has a well-developed library in which text and reference books along with technical journals are available. The Department also has an eagle’s eye on the Industry-Institution-Interaction(III) for the in-plant training and industrial visits to various Workshops, Thermal Power Plants, Irrigation Projects, and many more for the students and to excel their skills towards the industry.
